Couture Cashmere

The AGO was the perfect venue for the retro rococo/vintage baroque themed show.
This basket weave dress by Philip Sparks caught my eye immediately and perfectly displays the sheer craftsmanship of each of the designers. (Don't forget all of the garments are made from Cashmere bathroom tissue!)
Goodness! This lighter than air pouf of a dress designed by Hoax Couture is fun and flirty while making the models legs appear to be a mile long!

Be sure to check out Cashmere.ca and vote for your favourite design during the month of October (Breast cancer awareness month). Cashmere will donate $10,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in the name of the winning designer. Make your vote for style AND the cure count!

The Best is Yet to Come

I spent my Wednesday afternoon taking in the incredible sights at the Art Gallery of Ontario, which surprisingly were couture garments made entirely of Cashmere bathroom tissue! Here are some backstage photos I snapped before the show...check back tomorrow for a full play-by-play of the runway show, and as you can plainly see by these teasers it is not something to be missed!

LightBright

Since the moment I spotted these bright shorts at the supermarket (thanks Joe Fresh) I couldn't stop thinking about them. I finally cracked and they are even better than I imagined. This hat caught my eye as well while browsing and I think it is the perfect addition to this outfit!
