Circle Scarf

Last weekend was unusually sunny and warm out for October, but no complaints here. I dragged John to some local thrift stores in search of a shoe cabinet like this one. In the end I repourposed a closet I already had - I will post photos soon! Anyway on this day I got to take my brand new scarf for a spin! It is so cosy and I see myself making many more for all the people I love.

Gorgeous day for a cape!

It was a gorgeous Sunday and I couldn't wait to frolic in my thrifted cape that a got a few weeks back! I also cannot wait to start wearing nylons and heels again, one of my favourite parts of Autumn/Winter.
This is one of thr four DIYs I cranked out over the past 2 weeks!! I was so inspired by the La Dama version that I decided to try one of my own. I love it and am going to add on a few longer pieces of a smaller chain.
Did I also mention my new cape is reversable? Dreamy!!

Bless the Pets

I went with my family to my church for a service intended solely for our four legged friends. All pets from fishes and guinea pigs to dogs and cats were in attendance for the service which included a special pet themed sermon, and of course the blessing of each individual animal. We are lucky that Casey is much happier on our laps than on the floor, he was very well behaved and loved taking in all the other puppies around him.
As we were praising this pup for keeping his top-hat on his mom said 'you should see him in his kilt!'

Dreaming of Zara for Fall

I decided to browse around the Zara site tonight, but little did I know that I would spend an hour drooling over their Fall line. The colours are fabulous and are a cheery take on the usually bland scheme. They definitely captured my heart by featuring so many capes and ponchos! I found my own little red cape the past weekend at 69 Vintage, but I'll save that for another post!!
Enjoy my selections and let me know what you would pick from the Zara Fall lineup!
